Buckwheat flour from the Matijovc farm

Buckwheat was once ordinary farmers’ food, even a food for the poor. Today, however, is much more appreciated and valued due to its nutritional value and considered to be part of a healthy diet. On the fields of the Matijovc farm, just a few kilometres from Bled, buckwheat is grown in a nature-friendly manner. Integrated processed buckwheat is ground into flour with a distinctive nutty taste. Different dishes from buckwheat flour obtain the characteristic dark colour.
