The Bled Tourist Board undertakes to ensure the availability of the bled.si website pursuant to the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
This accessibility statement relates to the website bled.si.
Level of compliance
The website bled.si is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to the following exceptions.
Non-accessible content
The accessibility of the bled.si website is constantly monitored, and individual accessibility elements are being improved in real time. Despite this fact, some content does not comply with all requirements related to accessibility as set out in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
Non-accessible content:
- PDF documents,
- Brochures and manuals,
- Documents generated by the programme (e.g. annual reports),
- Complex tables with data,
- Videos without available subtitles,
- Content in formats requiring to download and use dedicated applications,
- Some navigation elements in desktop view.
Reasons for their inaccessibility:
- Some elements do not have an optimal alternative description. Retroactively preparing alternative descriptions would represent a disproportionate burden since most publications refer to current events that are now already in the past and would not represent a proportional useful value for the user. Newer elements have an alternative description available.
- Some multimedia content is also not accessible (e.g. subtitles for video content). Such arrangement is not mandatory for multimedia content recorded before 23 September 2020. Some content is not arranged for reasons of disproportionate burden (Article 6 of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (the ZDSMA)). The authority evaluates said disproportionate burden by evoking the significant potential financial consequences incurred due to a large scope of content. In addition, most of the content constantly changes, which is why it would be difficult to ensure that it remains up to date.
- The structure of tables and titles is not always optimal. The reason is the disproportionate burden evaluated by the authority through the personnel and financial burden required by such an optimisation.
- Some documents are inaccessible. The accessibility of written documents might be problematic for blind people using screen readers. Documents might also be less accessible or inaccessible due to the fact that they are obtained from different sources, including from third parties, and that they are prepared using various technical means. The reason is the disproportionate burden evaluated by the authority through the personnel and financial burden required by such an optimisation.
- Some navigation elements on the website cannot be accessed using the keyboard, and the keyboard focus indicator is not visible on certain elements. The reason is the disproportionate burden evaluated by the authority through the personnel and financial burden required by such an optimisation.
Preparation of the accessibility statement
