Simple and delicious snack from dough coated with Bohinj minced lard.

Posmodula is an old Slovenian dish, prepared for children by housekeepers while waiting for bread to be baked. A piece of dough was thinly rolled, coated with sour cream, herbs, minced lard or other spread and quickly baked. The name “posmodula” or even “posmojevka” originates in the Kranj area. Members of the Bled Tourist Association bake it in a specifically constructed brick furnace, serve it with Bohinj minced lard and also with cheese and garlic.
