The “Triglav Pokljuka” Sports Centre
Pokljuka offers an ideal opportunity to enjoy peaceful, pristine nature and escape the everyday hustle and bustle. The “Triglav Pokljuka” Sports Centre highlights the symbiosis between nature and active leisure activities for professional and amateur athletes, as well as other guests and tourists who want to spend their holidays in the embrace of nature. The Sports Centre provides a unique experience of biathlon shooting and cross-country skiing, as well as an endless selection of hiking trips on which you can also use snowshoes in winter.
The Zajamniki mountain pasture at the edge of Pokljuka will delight you with its beautiful views and the famous cluster of shepherd’s huts. The path leading to Zajamniki, the starting point of which is Rudno polje, is undemanding and not steep. Pokljuka will also be an excellent starting point to climb Debela peč, a two-thousand-metre peak rising above the forests of Pokljuka and Krma on the other side. Once you get to the top, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of Triglav.
On the Pokljuka plateau, all amateurs of cross-country skiing will be able to enjoy more than 30 kilometres of regularly maintained cross-country skiing trails connecting different parts of the plateau. Due to a higher altitude, the winter season lasts longer on the plateau.
Skiing on the Pokljuka plateau will delight families with children who will be able to enjoy on the Jelka, Šport and Viševnik ski slopes in the Pokljuka Family Ski Centre.

Traffic regime on the Pokljuka plateau
We invite you to travel to the unspoiled nature of the Pokljuka plateau using the Bled Ski Bus which can take guests to Kranjska Gora, Vogel and Pokljuka in a sustainable, carefree manner (one day advance notice is required).
Restricted areas have been introduced on the Pokljuka plateau in order to maintain its biodiversity and protect the natural habitats of animals, including the capercaillie. With the purpose of noise reduction, the recommended vehicle speed on the national road passing through the Mesnovec area of impact is 50 km/h. We kindly ask visitors to respect the barriers and traffic signs on forest roads in the vicinity of quiet areas where it is prohibited to use motor vehicles and sometimes even bikes. With the purpose of maintaining a suitable habitat for sensitive animal and plant species, we encourage our visitors to use the upgraded means of public transport to reach Pokljuka.
Stops on the Pokljuka route (Zatrnik / Mrzli studenec / Goreljek or Rudno polje) can be arranged individually with the driver.
