This year, three free buses will drive passengers around Bled and to Pokljuka in July and in August, in order to relieve traffic infrastructure. In this way, we would like to make it possible for locals and tourists alike to make use of this sustainable and free form of transportation.

The beginning and end point of these routes is in front of the Triglavska roža Bled Infocentre

The buses, which will begin and end their route at Seliše, in front of the Triglavska roža Bled Infocentre, will run according to the attached schedule.

Routes leading to Pokljuka, to villages and around the lake

Four times a day, the Bled Bus will take visitors to Pokljuka where they will be able to explore the plateau in a sustainable way. The bus, which can accommodate up to 30 passengers and 5 bikes, will drive from Bled to Pokljuka at 7.20 am, 9.20 am, 2.20 pm and 5.30 pm.

Another bus which can accommodate up to 20 passengers will drive from Bled to the surrounding villages three times a day, at 9 am, 2 pm and 4.45 pm.

A bus which can accommodate up to 30 passengers with a circular route around the lake will run every hour from 9 am to 7 pm.

Useful information

You can ride with the Bled Bus free of charge; advance booking is not possible. These rides are not intended to be used by organised groups but by individuals – locals and visitors alike.

The Bled Bus travelling to Pokljuka can accommodate up to 5 ordinary bikes, and strollers are accepted on all routes. It is not possible to access the bus in a wheelchair.

Smaller animals (including dogs) can travel as hand luggage, using suitable means of transport (carriers); the passengers, however, take full responsibility for their pets and must also ensure that other passengers are not threatened or hindered because of that. Pets cannot move freely around the seat or in the vehicle. Dirty and wet dogs cannot travel aboard the vehicle.

Simple travels – sustainably exploring Bled and its surroundings

All locations in the community of the Julian Alps are facing traffic-related challenges, which is why we try to grapple with them as a collective. The Bled Tourist Board will once again finance bus rides around the lake and to the surrounding villages, while the Municipality of Bled, Gorje and Triglav National Park will finance the bus route leading to Pokljuka.

We invite our visitors to join us in writing this green and sustainable story, exploring all the adventures that Bled and its surroundings have to offer in a simple and sustainable manner by using Bled Bus.
