Meetings Stars Awards 2022 winners announced

Kongres Magazine awarded the best meeting destinations, venues and influencers in the meetings industry on February 1, 2023 with Meetings Starts Award 2022. The event ceremony was held in Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana as a part of Conventa Trade Show program. Toleranca Marketing has developed its own matrix called "Meeting experience index" or MTLG – Meetologist. They have assessed meetings actors in the so-called New Europe or Eastern Europe for thirteen years.
Bled was rated among destinations in M category, which can host up to 1,200 participants. The winning destination in the category was Croatia's Dubrovnik (rating 4.35), Bled took sixth place (rating 4.11). Evaluation summary remarked Bled as recognizable brand as a brand, which lacks a clear focus on quality rather than mass tourism, which is evident in the gastronomy, nightlife and shopping opportunities. This lowers the perception of the quality of the destination.
In the category Best Slovenian large congress hotels, Rikli Balance Hotel (3rd place) and Hotel Park Bled (6th place) made the list of the top ten. Kempinski Palace Hotel from Portorož was the first in the category.
Bled Congress Center – The Bled Festival Hall (4th place) was ranked among the category Best Congress Centers in Slovenia. The winner in the category was Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.
