Summer Season at the Castle Bathing Area

On Friday, June 13, the public Bled Castle Bathing Area (Grajsko kopališče Bled) will open its gates for the new swimming season. Nestled at the foot of the castle cliff, the facility spans 5,650 square meters of landscaped grounds.

What the Bathing Area Offers

The water attractions include pools, slides, aquatic play features, and a children’s playground. Kayaks are available for rent, and table tennis is offered for leisure activities. Traditional wooden rowing boats can also be rented from the neighboring Castle Boathouse.

Visitors have access to restrooms, showers, changing rooms, and lockers. Towels are available for purchase, and loungers and sunshades can be rented. Complimentary eco-friendly, vegan-based natural sunscreen is provided to help reduce the environmental impact of swimmers on the lake.

What’s New This Year

Starting in July, the Castle Bathing Area will open two upper VIP terraces. These shaded terraces will feature new flooring, combining wood and grass elements. A new premium offer will allow guests to purchase VIP tickets, which provide greater privacy in designated lounge areas and include refreshments valid for the duration of the day pass.

Committed to Environmental Standards

The Castle Bathing Area meets strict environmental standards and proudly holds the Blue Flag – a globally recognized eco-label awarded to marinas and bathing areas that meet high criteria in water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety. International inspections ensure consistent excellence.

Thanks to its adherence to the Blue Flag criteria, the Castle Bathing Area became the first bathing site in Slovenia to be awarded the Slovenia Green Beach label.

More Information

The bathing area is open from June through mid-September. The full schedule and price list are available on the official website. Holders of the Julian Alps Card: Bled are entitled to a 10% discount on daily admission. Season passes are available for pre-sale until June 22, 2025.
