Black pearl

The cultivation of currants has a long tradition in Gorje. Do you also think that the currant berries on the bush look like pearls?

Mateja Reš, the owner of the Garden of tastes, certainly finds them very valuable, especially because of what is hidden inside the shiny black berries. She creates excellent products from them, including currant jam. In it you can feel the tradition, the passion and the incredible positive and health-promoting properties that currants contain.

The marmalade contains a little less sugar, and the heat treatment process is shorter, which ensures a full flavour that goes well with many sweet and savoury dishes.
