A delicious bread made from dried Tepka pears flour.

In Prgarija, as Zasip was once called, women used to dry Tepka pears and ground them into flour. They used this flour and mixed it with wheat flour to bake bread.

This tradition is still being revived today by the Association of housewives of Prgarija, which operates under the mentorship of a dedicated local woman, Bojana Pipan.

When preparing bread and other dishes from dried pears and dried-pear flour, they like to take a look at their grandmothers' recipes and delicious delicacies come to life under their fingers, among which the Prgovc bread is definitely worth trying.
