Medieval Archery
Awaken a 50,000-year-old gene and learn about the art of archery in a medieval way using handcrafted bows and arrows.
In Velika Zaka, in front of the entrance to Camping Bled, there is a marquee where they provide entertainment for all visitors to beautiful Bled. You can shoot at various targets, under the watchful eye of an archery instructor - Mr. Robert Levstek (Robert Hood).
They offer beginner and advanced archery courses using one of the fastest learning techniques in the world (booking an appointment is recommended).
Once a week they organize a tournament where you can demonstrate your skills and prove yourself to others. The main aim of the tournament is to have a good time and to mingle with tourists from all over the world. At the end of the tournament, the top three competitors receive medals, and all participants can enjoy a sweet treat – real Bled cream slice (kremšnita).
Archery is suitable for all ages for beginners and real archers.
The shooting range is open daily from April to October from 09:00 to 22:00 in any weather.
Another option for an archery adventure is located 10 km away in the Draga valley in the village of Begunje in the Gorenjska region. There are 36 3D targets - models of animals - hidden on a 1.5 km long forest trail surrounded by mountains. The parkour is open every day of the year, but prior reservation is required.
