The traditional I FEEL SLOVENIA International Rowing Regatta took place in Bled from June 13 to 15. This year’s event attracted 620 rowers from 16 countries, once again confirming the regatta’s popularity as an important test ahead of major rowing competitions. As in previous years, the regatta was organized by Bled Rowing in partnership with the Slovenian Tourist Board.

The I Feel Slovenia International Regatta Bled is considered the strongest rowing competition in Central Europe outside of the World Cup series. This traditional rowing event, held in Bled since 1950, features female and male rowers across various age categories — including medalists from the world’s top rowing competitions. Special focus is placed on the U23 and U19 categories, while rowers in the U17 category also get the opportunity to compete in an international setting.

Most of the participating countries at this year’s regatta were from Europe, but rowers from Tunisia and the Philippines also took part.

The I Feel Slovenia International Regatta Bled 2025 kicked off with preliminary heats on Friday. Saturday’s program began with finals, followed by additional heats in the afternoon to determine the line-up for Sunday’s finals.

This year’s regatta placed a special emphasis on sustainability. Organizers encouraged visitors, participants, and volunteers to reach the venue on foot, by bike, or via organized shuttle transport. The organizing team used e-scooters to move between locations on-site, and electric boats (catamarans) were used for officiating on the lake. Instead of plastic water bottles, visitors and participants were encouraged to use reusable bottles and drinking fountains which are set up at multiple points around the lake, including at the Bled Rowing Center and near the finish line in Zaka. Most of the volunteers involved in the event came from the local community or were members of the Bled Rowing Club.

This traditional international regatta was the first of two major events held on Lake Bled in June, one of the world’s most scenic rowing venues. Just a week later, from June 19 to 22, veteran rowers from around the world gathered in Bled to compete in the 2025 Euro Masters Regatta powered by I FEEL SLOVENIA.
