We invite you to experience Easter a little differently this year: stroll among monumental Easter eggs, explore the fair of unique local crafts in the Spa Park (Zdraviliški park), and indulge in culinary delights that are sure to leave a lasting impression.

 

Easter Eggs in a New Dimension

The central highlight of Easter in Bled is four monumental Easter eggs, each standing an impressive two metres tall. These are unique exhibits created through local craftsmanship and creativity. Their bases were cast by the Gorenjska master craftsman Iztok Justin, while their artistic design was created by artists Tim Pregrad and Žiga Hajdinjak.

The eggs are painted in a contemporary visual style inspired by the motifs of Maksim Gaspari. Their imagery intertwines iconic Bled symbols, local tradition, and a fresh artistic perspective.

Local Arts and Crafts Fair in the Spa Park

The festive atmosphere will be at its liveliest in the Spa Park, where a local arts and crafts fair will take place from Friday to Sunday, as well as on Easter Monday. Every day from 10:00 to 19:00, visitors will be able to browse unique ceramics, wooden mandalas, handmade wool products, Tiffany stained glass, and certified natural cosmetics.

The Flavours of Easter in Bled

The fair will be complemented by a rich culinary offering that reinterprets Easter tradition in a modern way. Among the featured treats, visitors will be able to sample a light snack with chicken ham and creamy scrambled eggs, juicy ham on bruschetta with apple chutney and Bled cheese, as well as homemade potica served with velvety chocolate ganache.

 

The Festive Spirit Will Spread Throughout Bled

The Easter weekend will not be limited to the park, as festive events will come alive at several locations across Bled.

Easter “Bunny Brunch”

Enjoy a surprise brunch menu prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients in a warm festive atmosphere – the perfect start to the Easter weekend for families and friends. For all children (and the young at heart), the traditional Easter egg hunt will also take place during the Bunny Brunch. Whoever collects the most eggs wins a prize.

Easter Egg Hunt

05 April 2026 | 11:00 – 14:00 | Bled Castle, Knights’ Hall

The Easter holidays at Bled Castle will once again feature the popular family adventure – the Easter Egg Hunt. The event will take place on Sunday, 5 April 2026, from 11:00 to 14:00. Children, parents, grandparents, and everyone who enjoys combining movement, exploration, and a bit of friendly competition are invited to participate.

At 11:00, all participants will gather at the fountain on the lower terrace, where game instructions will be provided. Once instructions are clear and the signal to start is given, the castle will transform into an exciting treasure hunt. Children will search the castle corners for unique wooden eggs, each marked with a number. Every egg found comes with a prize, and each participant may collect only one egg.

This year’s novelty is the golden eggs, which all children can search for, even if they’ve already found their regular egg. Four golden eggs will give lucky finders the chance to compete for the grand prize in a special game at 13:30. We promise this year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be even more thrilling than before!

The fun continues with creative workshops, the Chick’s Secret Path in the Knight’s Hall, and traditional Easter games such as egg rolling and egg tapping. Adults are not forgotten – they can try their hand at horseradish grating.

With surprises in store, the castle promises a festive and fun-filled day for all.

Easter Concert by Godba Gorje

05 April 2026 | 16:00 – 17:00 | Spa Park

Godba Gorje performs a wide variety of concerts throughout the year – from winter appearances at sporting events in Pokljuka and Planica, to the Easter concert in Bled, the May Day dawn performance in Gorje, appearances during Bled Days, and year-end concerts in both Gorje and Bled. Every few years, they even transform into a mountain band and climb Triglav with their instruments (yes, including drums and tuba!) to create a memorable atmosphere at the summit. Since 2023, the band has been conducted by Professor Marko Možina, who has been a member since his youth. Their repertoire mainly features Avsenik waltzes and polkas, though they also perform popular music from around the world.

Preparing and Baking Potica on Bled Island

Combine a visit to Bled Island with a workshop demonstration of baking – or even the full preparation – of potica in the island’s Potičnica bakery. Using traditional handmade tools and local ingredients, you will create your own mini poticas and full-sized poticas. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to sample various flavours of potica baked on Bled Island. Once your poticas are ready, you can take them home in charming paper baskets.
