Thursday's trip begins at Kamen Castle. In addition to a tour of the picturesque castle ruins, a local guide will acquaint you with the secret past of the castle, which throughout the years has been home to numerous aristocratic families. The most well known among them are the Counts of Lamberg, as the local knight Gašper Lamberg was a famous tournament warrior. You will walk through the ruins of the castle from the lower terraces all the way to the top of the 12th century lookout tower, from where there are magnificent views.

After visiting the castle, your local guide will lead you on foot along the forest trail past the Zijalka cave, the Hudicev gradič cave shelter and Njivice archaeological sites to the Krpin recreation centre. From there, the tour continues with local tales told by your guide, who will soon lead you all the way to Begunje na Gorenjskem, where you will also visit the park surrounding Katzenstein mansion. In the park as well as in the burial ground of hostages, you can see works by the architect Jože Plečnik, and find out about Begunje and Kazenstein mansion during World War II. After reaching the centre of the village, you can also visit the Avsenik Museum (free entry for holders of a Radovljica guest card) or take a break to try some of the local cuisine. You can also pay a visit to the Museum of Hostages or the Elan Alpine Ski Museum.
