Bled - Brezje - Radovljica - Bled

A wonderful trip to the old town centre of Radovljica, which is one of the most beautiful of its kind in Slovenia. A local guide will acquaint you with tales of the 'sweetest' Slovenian town, as well as the country's largest pilgrimage centre. 

Visitors to the historic town centre of Radovljica are charmed by its magnificent square, gourmet cuisine and numerous museums. A local guide will first acquaint you with the development and layout of the pilgrimage destination of Brezje, before continuing to Radovljica, where you will take a tour through the town and its hidden alleys.

The trip begins with a short visit to Brezje, home to the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians – Slovenia's national pilgrimage sanctuary. A local guide will lead a tour of the exterior, which features works by two of Slovenia's greatest architects – Ivan Vurnik and Jože Plečnik – followed by a visit to the Chapel of Mary. After rejoining the bus, you will spend the majority of the rest of the tour in Radovljica. 

You will now take a guided tour of the old town centre, during which a local guide will show you the attractive 16th and 17th century bourgeois houses and tell interesting tales of their residents. You will stroll through hidden alleys and step into the magnificence of the Radovljica Manor. The tour continues to discover the beauties of the former castle park and a chance to admire the exceptional views over the Sava river valley. After the guided tour you will have time to visit one of the numerous museums or enjoy some of the excellent local cuisine.
