Bled was selected as the 26th host and co-organiser of the Slovenian Incoming Workshop (SIW). The most important business event of Slovenian tourism will take place between 14 and 16 May 2024 and the main venue will be the multi-purpose Ice Hall Bled.

Strengthening existing partnerships and establishing new ones

The business event of Slovenian tourism – SIW – represents an exceptional platform for meetings of representatives of tour operators and tourist agencies from all over the world and leading representatives of the Slovenian tourism industry. A number of business meetings and conferences take place as part of the workshop, and the accompanying programme provides opportunities for establishing informal connections and learning more about top tourist offers.

The advantage of hosting the workshop is definitely the opportunity for participants to experience what the place has to offer. As part of the Slovenian evening, organised by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB), attendees will get to know one of the oldest castles in Slovenia, the Bled Castle, Slovenian cuisine and the offer of the whole of Slovenia. Guests will also experience the authentic offer of the place through top gastronomic and other authentic experiences, some of which proudly bear the certificate of the Bled Local Selection collective brand, which connects local providers, guarantees the top quality of local products, services and authentic experiences.

Experiences and motivational programmes in Bled

The Bled Tourist Board, as the co-organiser of the workshop, will prepare a varied accompanying programme that will present to participants the authentic and traditional offer of the place.

Guests will also be able to embark on experiences that proudly bear the certificate of the Bled Local Selection brand. Among other things, they will embark on a guided adventure through the Enchanted Forest, where, through puzzles and quests, they will learn about local folk tales and legends, cultural heritage and history, and experience the natural wonders of the area. Karlo's apiary, in the settlement of Selo pri Bledu, invites guests to experience a day with the beekeeper, where visitors can learn about the beekeeping tradition, the life and importance of bees. With its programme “From the most beautiful Tepka pear to Tr'glav’s brandy”, "Prgarija” – the village of Zasip and the Pr Trsegvav farm – invite you to discover the path of the creation of excellent brandy, from the orchard to the pot still. In the Garden of flavours and experiences in the village of Zgornje Gorje, the herbalist, cook and farmer Mateja will take guests on a barefoot walk among herbs and flowerbeds, which awakens the senses, and under a romantic haystack, she will demonstrate how simple it is to create delicious herbal delicacies. The experience It sounds like holidays, which presents the rich tradition of Bled and its surroundings, will take you to the first half of the 19th century. The table smells of typical festive dishes, joy spreads with folk dances and songs, and with locals dressed in typical clothes from Prešeren's time. Guests will learn about interesting local stories, jokes and customs that enriched the holidays in the Bled area.

In addition to the mentioned experiences, participants will also be able to go rowing with Bled Olympians, Jani Klemenčič and Miha Pirih, they will try their skills in the Bled cooking course, experience the Water, air and sun baths with Arnold Rikli, and spend an archery afternoon on the terrace of the Kompas Hotel. The first urban adventure escape room Unlock Bled invites you to seven exciting challenges, where participants learn about secrets, legends and the true history of Bled.
