Due to limited ticket availability, online ticket purchase is recommended.

Tickets cannot be purchased at the Vintgar Gorge entry point.
Where is the entrance to Vintgar Gorge?
The visit through the gorge is one-way only, with the entrance located in Podhom.

By car
Direct access to the gorge by car is not possible. If arriving by car, you can park at the Central Parking VINTGAR LIP, from where a regular free electric Vintgar Shuttle operates to Vintgar Gorge. The shuttle runs every 7 minutes, starting 30 minutes before Vintgar Gorge opens and continuing throughout the day until 2 hours after the gorge closes. Parking is included in the ticket price.

How much time do I need to visit Vintgar Gorge?
Please allow enough time, as the visit through the gorge is one-way only. The full route, including the return to your starting point, takes approximately 3 hours.
Can I visit Vintgar Gorge on my own, or are guided tours available?
You can explore Vintgar Gorge independently, and an audio guide is also available. You can also book a guided tour and explore the gorge with a local guide, who will share many interesting stories and insights along the way.
