Between 27 November 2026 and 10 January 2027, Bled will once again come to life in a magical and festive atmosphere. This year’s Winter Tale will start at the Spa Park and continue all the way to Hotel Park, while individual locations will be connected in a single festive story by the lake.
Visitors will be accompanied along the paths of Bled by festive lights, light sculptures, musical performances, children's shows and animations, as well as a culinary offer and stalls with local delicacies and unique products of home and artisanal crafts.

Festive route by the lake
The Spa Park will transform into a festive world full of light and decorative elements. These will include sculptures of a coachman, ducks and an Advent wreath. The Park will be complemented by a wood corner with spruces, little wooden houses, reindeer and snowmen.
A wooden arch will mark the beginning of the fairy-tale route, and the festive homes will feature local vendors offering their own products.
The Spa Park and the Lakeside promenade will be connected by an endless chain of lights by the lake, guiding visitors through the entire festive area.
Attractive light installations and photo points will be set up along the route: a festive see-saw chair by the lake, a light sculpture of a fairy, harmonica and “pletna” boat, and a heart that glows as visitors ride their bicycles.
The festive image of Bled will also be complemented by a light sculpture - a knight at Bled Castle.
Main events on the Lakeside promenade
The centrepiece of the Winter Tale will be the Lakeside promenade again this year, where visitors will find catering houses with a festive offer of food and drinks and a sweet house.
The promenade will be adorned with the distinctive red Bled chair, a festive entrance arch, decorated trees and fireplaces where visitors can warm up and enjoy the view of Lake Bled.

The festivities will begin on Friday, 27 November 2026, with music by DJ Zupix. And on Saturday, 28 November, festive lights and Bled will glow up following the rhythms of Andrej Šifrer.

Winter Tale on Hom - Winter flavours at the Altar of the Gorenjska region
Just a few minutes from Lake Bled, a very special winter experience awaits you. Take a shuttle to Zasip, and from there it's about a 25-minute hike uphill to the Church of St. Catherine and the clearing with a panoramic view at the Altar of the Gorenjska region. After a stroll through the winter nature, you can enjoy homemade winter flavours at the Jurček inn: homemade brandy, traditional Slovenian stews (“jota” or “ričet”) and homemade apple strudel.
Winter Tale and biathlon on Pokljuka
The Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka, which will take place from 1 to 3 January 2027, will also have an important role in this year's festivities. The atmosphere will be complemented by animations, performances, content for visitors and invitations to the races at Pokljuka.
The Winter Tale and the Biathlon World Cup will thus be connected in a joint winter story of Bled and Pokljuka.
