Rhythm of Folklore: KUD Rudija Jedretiča Ribno

The folklore group of the Rudi Jedretič Cultural Society in Ribno has been active since 1981, when, under the leadership of Rado Mužan and with the expert guidance of Ms. Tončka Marolt, it took its first steps toward reviving folk customs, dances, and songs.

Throughout its history, the group has faced numerous challenges and achieved many successes, and has repeatedly qualified for regional-level competitions. Its primary mission remains the preservation of dances and songs recorded in Bled and the surrounding villages. The group also includes an ensemble that plays traditional farm instruments.

To date, the group has performed more than a thousand times both at home and abroad. It is particularly enriched by its participation in festivals, performances, and gatherings of folklore groups, where, through the exchange of knowledge and experience, it connects with other artists and preserves the rich folk heritage of the local community.
