The Planica Valley, home to the Planica Nordic Centre, and the nearby Tamar are excellent hiking destinations for an autumn outing. Hikers can enjoy colourful views and the unspoiled nature of the Julian Alps, and at the end of the trail, they can rest and refresh themselves at the mountain hut.
Both hiking areas lie in a shaded location, where conditions in autumn are often already wintry. Therefore, appropriate footwear and warm clothing are recommended, as the trails can be slippery.
