The municipalities of Bled and Gorje have become the first-ever Zero Waste Certified Cities

The municipalities of Bled and Gorje received the first international "zero waste municipality" certificate. The European certificate is designed to promote and accelerate the transition of European cities to zero waste and the implementation of the circular economy at local level. The Municipality of Bled, the public company Infrastruktura Bled and the public institution Bled Tourist Board are working in all areas to follow the project's guidelines as closely as possible.
For Bled Tourist Board, this means promoting sustainable tourism development, introducing the zero waste concept into events and activities, and keeping locals, tourism employees and guests informed about waste management in Bled (https://www.bled.si/en/inspiration/green-bled/).
