“Black Art: through the time and on the ways of master Janez Rozman”, monograph
A unique recollection of the history of printing in Slovenia, intertwined with the story of the master printer Janez Rozman.
During your visit of the Bled Castle, you will surely stop in the castle printing works of master Janez Rozman. There, you will be able to print graphics depicting Prešeren’s Zdravljica, Trubar’s portrait or the Bled Island. The story of master Janez Rozman who is, without a doubt, one of the most impressive connoisseurs and collectors of old printing equipment, has now found its way into a special monograph prepared by Jerca Legan, PhD, and Dragica M. Sternad Kenda, MSc, both active members of the Zasip Cultural and Artistic Society. In addition to the archival material recounting the story of the printing master from Bled, the monograph also includes the historical background and the development of printing in Slovenia.
The monograph is available in Slovenian and English.
