Monument dedicated to Adolf Muhr

Read the legend that is written on the monument dedicated to the gentleman from Vienna of the 19th century.

The monument stands under the castle rock, in the forest on Višce hill. The monument in Secession style features the portrait of Adolf Muhr and the relief of the legend story about St Hubert, the patron of hunters. The monument was erected by Adolf's sons after his death in 1906.

Adolf Muhr was a wholesaler from Vienna and owned the Bled castle estate from 1882 to 1919. In 1892, he built the Ilsenheim Villa which is now known as Vila Rog.
