2025 brought a series of events and experiences to Bled that filled the town with diverse stories, leaving a lasting impression on both visitors and locals alike.

Love Month in Bled
Between Valentine’s Day and St Gregory’s Day (14 February to 12 March 2025), Bled hosted a series of events under the banner Love Month. During this time, romantic art installations and photo points were set up along the lakeside promenade. The town buzzed with romantic events, while tourism providers offered special Valentine-themed culinary, hotel, and wellness packages. Local artisans also invited visitors to enjoy authentic lakeside experiences.

400 'Bled Legends' Celebrate Carnival
On Sunday, 2 March 2025, the Bled Legends Carnival took place. The colourful procession, accompanied by stilt-walkers, the Gorje Brass Band with majorettes, and the traditional Kurenti from Ptuj, featured 400 costumed participants. Nineteen local clubs and associations took part in the festivities.

Bled Collectors Days Attract Over 800 Visitors
On 14 and 15 March 2025, the Bled Festival Hall hosted the inaugural BLED Collectors Days. More than 60 exhibitors from nine countries took part, with over 800 visitors attending the event. Highlights included the Jesenice meteorite (named 'Bojo'), which fell in the Mežakla area in 2009, and the award-winning designs for a commemorative coin marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of legendary illustrator Miki Muster.

Winter Bled Bus Carries Over 330 Passengers
The Winter Bled Bus, connecting Bled with popular ski centres in Kranjska Gora, Pokljuka, and Vogel, transported 338 passengers during the season (20 December 2024 to 2 March 2025). The most popular destination among users was the Vogel ski resort.

 

BledologijaSlovenian Edition of 'Bledology'
In early April, the Slovenian version of Bledology was released. The book, a unique blend of guidebook, travelogue, historical notes, and personal stories by author Noah Charney, is enriched by stunning photography from renowned National Geographic photographers.

New Infrastructure at Mala Zaka
The 'Perfect Stroke' (Popolni zaveslaj) project was officially inaugurated in early April at Mala Zaka. The project included the restoration of the Lake Bled shoreline, the renovation of four piers and concrete platforms, and a general content upgrade of the area to enhance the experience for visitors and athletes alike.

Film Premiere of 'The Bell' Fills Festival Hall
On Friday, 18 April 2025, the short film The Bell (Zvon) premiered before an audience of nearly 500 at the Bled Festival Hall. This epic medieval drama, depicting the legend of the sunken bell, was brought to life by local creators and funded through the Municipality of Bled’s participatory budget.

400 Accordions Sound by Lake Bled
In early May, the traditional Accordions by Lake Bled event—a celebration of tradition, music, and good cheer—brought together approximately 400 accordionists. Against the stunning backdrop of the lake, they performed a mass rendition of Avsenik’s Otoček sredi jezera and Na Golici, as well as Lojze Slak’s Čebelar.

Bled Tourism Forum: Vision 2045
In May, the Festival Hall hosted the first Bled Tourism Forum: Vision 2045. This milestone event marked the beginning of a new long-term tourism development strategy. The forum facilitated open dialogue and collaboration between stakeholders committed to a responsible and sustainable future for Bled.

Summer 2025: Vibrant Pulse and Sustainable Mobility
Summer 2025 saw Bled welcome guests from over 130 countries. To ensure a high quality of life for residents during the peak season, several measures were implemented, including sustainable transport options and a new central car park. These efforts aimed to help visitors explore the area more easily while reducing traffic congestion.

Bled enjoyed record-breaking digital engagement this summer. Instagram followers increased by over 25%, with videos reaching millions of views. International media and prestigious publications continue to rank Bled as one of Europe’s most attractive destinations, blending natural beauty with unforgettable experiences.

Gala Magic Show: A Night of Illusions
On Saturday, 20 September, the third Gala Magic Show took place at the Festival Hall. From robots to floating chairs, the evening offered a world where the impossible became possible, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

 

Top 100 green

Bled Among the World’s Green Elite
In late September, Green Destinations—an international organisation rewarding sustainable management—included Bled in its Top 100 Green Destinations Stories. This recognition places Bled among the global elite for sustainable tourism practices.

Evening of Excellence: Bled Local Selection
On Friday, 3 October, new members were officially welcomed into the Bled Local Selection (Blejski lokalni izbor) at Bled House. The community grew by eight new providers this year. To date, certificates have been awarded to 43 handicraft and food products, 13 dishes, one accommodation provider, and one unique experience.

Bled Experiences Week
Between 29 September and 3 October, local tourism stakeholders were invited to experience the certified Bled Local Selection tours first-hand. Over 50 representatives explored the diversity and authenticity of Bled’s offer, highlighting the creativity and dedication of the local community.

In November, Bled joined the prestigious UN Tourism ‘Best Tourism Villages’ global network. Selected from 270 applicants across 65 countries, this membership recognises over a decade of systematic work in responsible tourism and innovation. It serves as a strategic commitment to balancing tourism flows for the benefit of both residents and visitors.

Gold Award for Hospitality
At the 2025 Days of Slovenian Tourism, Bled received the Gold Award for Hospitality (Zlati znak gostoljubnosti). This prestigious accolade, part of the 'My Country – Host to Hospitality' national selection, confirms Bled’s status as one of Slovenia’s most welcoming and well-kept destinations.

Gorenjska Named a Top European Destination for 2026
The prestigious American magazine Condé Nast Traveler has named the Gorenjska (Upper Carniola) region as one of the best European destinations for 2026. Editors were impressed by the pristine nature, diverse cultural offer, premium soul-stirring stays, and unique experiences.

NEW: Bled Fairytale Park
The Bled Winter Fairytale shined in a new light this year. The Castle Bathing Area was transformed into the Bled Fairytale Park, an enchanting experience filled with festive lights, winter motifs, and gentle displays that invite visitors to pause and soak up the holiday spirit.

Winter Bled Bus 2025/26

From 19 December to 8 March 2026, the Winter Bled Bus is once again available, connecting Bled with winter hubs in Bohinj, Pokljuka, and Kranjska Gora.
