You will get your first impression and general information about Bled on a panoramic drive around Lake Bled. The first stop will be a guided visit to Bled Castle, which has stood atop a steep rock 130 metres above the lake for a millennium. In addition to finding out about the castle's wealth of tradition in a modern guise (modern museum, castle chapel, castle printing works, wine cellar, ..), you will be rewarded with unforgettable views of the lake, mountains and the surrounding area. An entrance fee is payable to enter the castle.

Should you choose not to visit the castle itself, you can take a walk along the beautifully landscaped scenic paths around the castle or to the lake. The joint guided tour continues at 11.30am in Slovenski trg in front of St. Martin's church. Along the way you will see the oldest monument to the greatest Slovenian poet, France Prešeren, stroll through the Spa Park with its monument to famous Bled locals, continue past the Festival Hall and the traditional horse-drawn carriages to reach the Lake Promenade, all the while observing the goings-on around, and on, Lake Bled. By now it will be high time for a traditional Bled cream slice or a delicious lunch, or you can make your own way (using regularly
available boat transfers) to Bled Island or take a refreshing dip in one of the designated bathing areas.

You will see the following with a local guide:
