Lake Bled House
Grajska cesta 21
At the foot of Bled Castle, Lake Bled House reopened in 2025 after a major renovation, unveiling a fresh look and a renewed culinary concept. In the 1970s the site was known as Back, famous for frog legs and fried sprats. Today it reimagines traditional flavours with a modern touch.
Guests can enjoy outdoor charcoal grilling and, in cooler months, hearty venison goulash prepared in a large kettle. The spacious terrace seats up to 60 guests, while the interior’s blend of natural wood and stone creates a warm and welcoming setting.
The open kitchen lets diners watch their meals being prepared, French-style with a local twist. The menu focuses on risottos, pasta and vegetable dishes made with produce from nearby farms, complemented in autumn by venison stews and stuffed peppers.
