Bled Charms Hungary: Slovenian Tourism Providers at Workshop in Budapest

For one day, Budapest became the stage for Slovenian tourism companies from all regions to showcase to Hungarian travel agents why Slovenia is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the region.

The workshop attracted 70 Hungarian tourism representatives from 51 companies. Most of them were already familiar with Bled and included it in their offerings, yet they were still impressed by the latest developments and additional possibilities. There was particular interest in accommodation options, new events, and culinary experiences, with Bled’s Michelin-starred restaurants and Bled Local Selection experiences drawing significant attention.
Those providers who had not yet included Bled in their offerings were captivated by the destination, especially by the idea of Bled as a hub in the Julian Alps, from which the wider region can be explored. Among all participants, Bled stood out for its diverse offerings, unforgettable experiences, and opportunities for both individual visitors and larger groups. At the initiative of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), Bled providers also prepared three attractive prizes for Hungarian agents, giving them practical insight into the very best Bled has to offer.
The event was also an excellent networking opportunity with Slovenian representatives in Budapest, where ideas, experiences, and opportunities flowed in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. In a conversation with Mr. Marko Sotlar, Economic Advisor at the Slovenian Embassy, another exceptional opportunity for Bled was highlighted: sport, particularly ice hockey, which is experiencing a real boom in Hungary.
The event was a perfect example of how synergy between Slovenian destinations, hoteliers, and experience providers can create a strong impression in a foreign market. With its natural beauty, culinary offerings, events, and sports opportunities, Bled showed Hungarians why it is one of the most recognised and sought-after destinations in Europe.
