The 20th Bled Strategic Forum, taking place on 1–2 September, will again bring high-level debate to one of Slovenia’s most prominent international stages. This year, the Slovenian Tourist Board and the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport will host a panel titled European Tourism: Between Values and Competitiveness, set for 2 September at the Grand Hotel Toplice.
Moderated by Dr Peter Wostner, the discussion will gather leading voices from Slovenia, Austria and the European Travel Commission to address the sector’s most pressing questions: how to balance sustainability, inclusiveness and quality of life with the demands of global competitiveness. With European tourism facing rising costs, labour shortages, digital disruption and market fragmentation, the panel promises frank exchanges and a forward-looking perspective.
As part of an event renowned for tackling urgent global issues, this session will explore the future direction of European tourism in an era of constant crisis and geopolitical uncertainty – making it a must-follow for media covering travel, policy and the economy.
