Journalist and senior producer Gökçen Ardıç, together with cameraman Emrah Cevik, explored how Bled balances the preservation of its natural and cultural heritage with modern tourism trends and the needs of visitors from around the world. In cooperation with Bled Tourist Board, they conducted a series of interviews, visited key points of interest across the destination, and attended local events that illustrate Bled’s sustainable approach to tourism.
During their visit, the Turkish team stayed at Hotel Triglav, idyllically located above the lake, where they met with the hotel’s Executive Director, Sonja Primožič, and Head Chef, Aleš Fendet. Through their conversation, they learned more about the hotel’s sustainable approach to cuisine. The hotel’s restaurant is renowned for its use of locally sourced ingredients and has received recognition from prestigious international culinary guides such as Michelin, Gault&Millau, and Falstaff.

The representatives of the Turkish television channel also visited Bled Castle, where they filmed scenes from the castle’s printing works as well as the famous view from the fortress overlooking the lake. They also stopped at Café Park, where they spoke with Luka Stepančič, Executive Director of Sava Hotels & Resorts Bled, and tasted the iconic Bled cream cake.
To capture the summer atmosphere in Bled, the producer and cameraman also attended an open-air concert at the Rowing grandstands and filmed moments of the traditional “Lučke na jezeru” (Candle Lights on the Lake) event from a boat.

The feature will be broadcast on digital platforms and on the TRT World television channel, which brings stories and news from selected destinations to a global audience of millions.
