A Well-Organized Summer by the Lake: Traffic Measures for Greater Comfort and Safety
30.05.2025 | News
Due to the increasing number of visitors to Lake Bled during the summer months, traffic measures will once again be implemented this year in the area of Velika Zaka. These measures aim to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and ensure a more pleasant experience for both visitors and local residents.

Following the successful implementation of last year’s traffic regime, we will continue with the established model, which has proven to be both effective and well-received. The measures will be in effect from June 14 to September 14, 2025.
What does the summer traffic regulation include?
Starting June 14, daily traffic management will be in place from 10:00 to 18:00 in the Velika Zaka area. This will facilitate access and improve the safety of all road users.
During the same period, night-time security will be provided from 22:00 to 6:00 in the areas of Velika Zaka and Mala Zaka, contributing to a peaceful and secure environment in the evening hours.

Additional Weekend and Holiday Measures (from July 5 onwards):
To help calm traffic at key entry points during peak times, the following measures will be introduced on weekends and public holidays:
- Koritno: traffic regulation from 9:00 to 13:00
- Mlino and Mačkovec: traffic regulation from 16:00 to 20:00, or until traffic flow from the direction of Bohinj normalizes
- Traffic restrictions in Velika Zaka will also be extended:
- Until 20:00 near the railway station,
- Until 21:00 at the Pristava location.
These restrictions will be adjusted in real-time depending on road conditions, particularly during large events or periods of heavy traffic.
These measures form part of a broader traffic management strategy aimed at preserving the quality of life by the lake — for our valued residents as well as for all who visit and admire Bled.
