Bled Cheese

Semi-hard cheese. Made from pasteurized cow's milk from local dairy farms.

The beautiful cultural landscape surrounding Lake Bled has been shaped through the millennia by local farmers who take their herds to graze for part of the year on the meadows in the valley and on the nearby plateaus of the Julian Alps to which they are bound by ties of pride and affection.

High-quality cow's milk from 22 family farms organised in to an agricultural and forestry co-operative is used to make a delicious culinary delight – Bled Cheese, which has been matured for at least two months and is now ready to be served.

The Bled Tea Blend

A herbal tea blend from the Bled countryside.

The herbal tea blend made from herbs grown in the Bled countryside reflects the energy of the local area and its people, who preserve the tradition and respect nature with passion and care.

All the herbs are organically grown on the basis of the principles of Maria Thun's planting calendar in order to ensure that the plants preserve the properties that are beneficial to our well-being.

Bled Honey

Locally grown and traditionally harvested honey.

Honey making in Slovenia is based on the long tradition of bee-keeping and breeding of the endemic Carniolan honey bee.

In the wide selection of honey varieties, we are particularly proud of the forest honey and lime honey, which are typically used in the local culinary offer.

Honey has very low water content. Crystallization is the first indicator that this is a natural honey.
