Healing effects
Arnold Rikli (1823 - 1906) was a Swiss hydrograph who spent an important part of his life at Bled. He was one of the first to recognise the value of water, air and sunlight for human health and has earned world fame as the founder of health tourism at Bled. The development of health tourism was further enhanced by several sources of curative water found in the lake.

Grajska beach
Grajsko kopališče ("Castle Bathing Area") is a designated outdoor bathing area by Lake Bled. Situated just below the magnificent castle rock, it enjoys a sunny and picturesque location.

Several years ago the bathing place, which boasts modern infrastructure and diverse amenities, was awarded the Blue flag as proof of its compliance with strict environmental standards.
Grajsko kopališče welcomes swimmers from June to middle September. The enclosed bathing site is 260 meters long, with a total area of over 5670m2. The bathing place provides ample opportunities for fun: two waterslides, four outdoor swimming pools, a jump board as well as climbers, swings and a sandbox for children, table tennis, chess. Visitors can find pleasant shade below beach umbrellas or under the dark green crowns of large chectnut trees.
There are over 100 changing rooms, 107 lockers, toilets and showers, and beach umbrella rental.
