Green mobility

If you came to Bled by car, it is best that you park where you are staying or in one of many marked parking areas and move around Bled using other means.

Bled is a small settlement, which means that you can access all attractions on foot or by bicycle. A network of walking paths runs across Bled with its surroundings, and the area is suitable for cycling trips. You may rent an ordinary or electric bike in one of the rent-a-bikes.

If you think that the distances are too great, use public transportation. In this manner you will have more time to observe nature, and at the same time you will not have to return to the starting point.

For a very special experience you may go on a ride around Bled with a horse-drawn carriage, while a tourist train runs around the lake in warmer months.

in order to get to the Bled Island you can choose to take the traditional “pletna”, a wooden electric vessel or rent a boat and row there yourselves.

Hop-on and discover is available in July and August for you to explore wider surroundings of Bled, which you can also take to get to Radovljica, Jesenice and Tržič with the surrounding area. If you want to learn new and interesting things there is a free-of-charge guided tour of the journey available on the bus.

shuttle bus also runs on two lines during summer months around Bled with its surroundings. You may also take it to get to Pokljuka, which is a starting point for mountain hiking.
