The Triglavska roža Info Centre provides visitors with information on the Triglav National Park, the only such park in Slovenia and one of the oldest in Europe, which extends over 880 sq km in north-western Slovenia. The park, named after the highest Slovenian peak, covers the eastern part of the Julian Alps and takes in 4% of Slovenia’s territory. It has two million visitors a year.
The info centre showcases the park’s wonderful natural assets and cultural heritage and organises regular presentations and exhibitions, as well as a monthly market of organic produce from the farms within the park.
As of April 2014, the Triglavska roža will become a regional visitor centre whose main tasks will be the supply of information to tourists and environmental protection. Among other things, the extensive renovation will add a state-of-the art multimedia room to its facilities.
