Bled Sports Hall

The Bled Sports Hall is in the centre of Bled, adjacent to a large car park and the Krim Hotel. It was built in 1979 and fully renovated for the 35th Chess Olympiad, which was held here in 2002. In addition to hosting training sessions and competitions in ice sports such as ice hockey, skating and curling, it is suitable for diverse exhibitions, concerts and meetings of up to 5,000 participants.

The Bled Sports Hall has been the setting of various ice hockey and skating World Cup competitions, as well as the 2003 European Youth Olympic Festival and the 15th Senior World Taekwondo Championship in 2007. Its great acoustics makes it a favourite venue for concerts, such as the Alpine Evening and the Folk Music Hit Parade, which are held here annually.
