Getting to Slovenia
Ljubljana Airport, Slovenia’s main international gateway, is served by daily flights from numerous European cities. Most are operated by the national carrier Adria Airways, a Star Alliance member. Other airlines flying to Ljubljana include Air France, Finnair, Turkish Airlines, and the low-cost carriers EasyJet and Wizzair. Another option of getting to Slovenia by air is to fly to one of the nearby airports in neighbouring countries, such as Klagenfurt in Austria, Trieste and Venice in Italy or Zagreb in Croatia.

Slovenia’s motorway network is extensive, crossing the country from northwest to southeast and from southwest to northeast. The motorways, for the use of which a vignette is obligatory, are in good condition, and towns are clearly signposted.
By bus or train
Busses and trains run to Slovenia daily from numerous European cities. Connections by sleeping car are also available.
